New technology brings a GVGRC's member layout to the world.

Running from Dec 1st to 27th, the Read's award winning Christmas Express is sure to please the young and the young at heart. Do you remember looking in the department store windows at Christmas time, where a Miniature Railroad mesmerized and enlightened you and your fellow onlookers?

The memory and the popularity of the Polar Express movie inspired the Read's to begin the construction of the "Christmas Express", a G-scale model railroad outside their house.

This year the Read's started decorating /setup Nov 6th, and finished Nov 30th. "A full time job for the last 25 days". Over the last year they have been busy adding some wonderful interactive features to the Christmas Express. The display is under cover but we recommend you dress warmly. Visitors will be treated to free hot chocolate and candy canes.

The Read's do accept donations for their chosen charity (Food on the Corner) and this year were honored to receive the Special Events & Tourism Award from the Delta Chamber of Commerce.
